Linnethia Monique “NeNe” Leakes is a famous American television personality, actress, presenter, businesswoman, author, and fashion designer.

She became well-known after becoming the breakout star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. As Rocky Rhoades, a regular character on the NBC sitcom The New Normal until its discontinuation in 2013, Leakes again displayed her acting talents.

NeNe filed for divorce on April 29, 2010, after divorcing her spouse Gregg Leakes in 2010. On September 29, 2011, the divorce was formalized, which was also the day that The Real Housewives’ fourth season of shooting wrapped up. However, NeNe and Gregg eventually made amends and declared their engagement in public in January 2013. In a spin-off series titled I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding, Bravo chronicled their entire wedding experience, including the preparation and the wedding ceremony.

The InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta hosted NeNe and Gregg’s remarriage on June 22, 2013, and the ceremony was documented on camera. When NeNe revealed in June 2018 that Gregg had been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, their relationship was severely tested. However, she enthusiastically broke the news that he had beat the illness and was cancer-free in May 2019.

Tragically, Gregg had surgery and was hospitalized after NeNe revealed that his cancer had come back in June 2021. Gregg Leakes’ life was ultimately taken by colon cancer on September 1, 2021, when he was 66 years old. NeNe and their loved ones suffered a great loss when he passed away suddenly.
