NPP is committed to retaining talents for International recognition; Koforidua Youth Resource Centre is the proof – Nana Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made it crystal clear that his government has the youth at heart after commissioning the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre.
H.E Nana Addo linked the commissioning of the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre to having the youth at heart.
On Wednesday, 27th December 2023, he commissioned the Koforidua Sports Stadium with ancillary facilities also referred to as the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre.
In an update about his presence at the commissioning ground, he said the “Koforidua Sports Stadium is the first of ten stadia with auxiliary facilities being constructed across the country.
“They are envisioned as safe spaces for youth congregation and recreation, offering a diverse array of services, including state-of-the-art sports infrastructure, counseling centres, entrepreneurship hubs, and additional amenities that cater to the multifaceted opportunities presented to our youth.”
About having the youth at heart, he said “This is not merely a structure; it represents a commitment to creating an environment where our youth can thrive, develop essential skills, and contribute meaningfully to our national development agenda. It is a facility that proves the commitment of the ruling New Patriotic Party to retaining talents, and raising them to compete on an international level.”
In addition, he expressed that the project will be replicated in other parts of the country.
“I am glad to state that, in the coming days, the following identical projects will also be commissioned and handed over for use in:
- Wa in the Upper West Region
- Ho in the Volta Region
- Axim in the Western Region
- Dormaa in the Bono Region
- Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region.
