NPP suspends NDC Parliamentary aspirant who crossed carpet to join their Party

The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary aspirant for Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa (AOB) Eric Kwesi Taylor who crossed carpet to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been suspended.

Information available to Coverghana.com.gh indicates that Mr. Eric Kwesi Taylor has been suspended by the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His suspension comes after he held a press conference during which he accused the defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament and the DCE for not supporting the NPP Parliamentary Candidate to win the December 2020 Polls.

Mr. Eric Kwesi Taylor, the NDC Parliamentary aspirant for Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa (AOB) during the party’s 2019 primaries  has crossed carpet to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prior to the December 2020 elections. He defected from the party after losing the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa primaries to Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghana.

In the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa primaries, Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghana had a total valid votes of 885, Michael Harry Yamson had 154 total valid votes and Eric Kwesi Taylor came last with a valid votes of 42.

Mr. Eric Kwesi Taylor resigned from the party saying his decision is borne of his admiration for the NPP manifesto and the admirable campaign message of his New Patriotic Party counterpart.
