Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo has indicated that, his leadership would bring a new meaning to the motto of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).
In a press conference held after the declaration of the NUGS election held at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, the NUGS President lect indicated that, tutors, lecturers and stakeholders in the Education Sector would hear from them frequently.
“You will hear from us. You will hear from us when you are doing it wrong and you will hear from us when you are doing it right”

Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo contested for the NUGS Presidential portfolio with Charles Oppong and Kwesi Atuahene.
Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo, who contested against the outgoing NUGS President, Yiadom Boakye (YB) had to withdraw his candidature last year due to some suspected election irregularities.
Kwesi Atuahene had earlier declared himself winner of the 2022 NUGS election, with the official Twitter page of the Union confirming that, meanwhile, sorting and counting were underway at the time.
The outgoing General Secretary for NUGS, Julius Anthony has also hinted that, there were some irregularities in this year’s NUGS election, citing that, he is not having knowledge of the voter’s register used for the election as one of the reasons.
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) is the mother Union of all student unions across the country and is aimed at projecting the rights of students.
