Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole Bamboi Constituency of the Savannah Region have defected to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Announcing the news, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana-B disclosed that, as part of the NPP Youth Wing’s tour of the Savannah Region, they have invaded Bole Bamboi Constituency where some card bearing members of the NDC crossed carpet to join the ruling NPP.
According to him, the defected NDC supporters come from the home Constituency of the presidential candidate of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
“In Bole, I ushered in and welcomed into the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over 200 supporters of the opposition NDC who have ditched their former party to join the NPP in Bole/Bamboi for a resounding victory to retain H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as president of Ghana and vote for Hon. David Sei Demah as member of parliament.” He announced.
The leader and spokesperson of the group, Alhassan Anas who spoke on behalf of his colleagues said “we were deceived to carry a coffin some years back with Nana Addo’s posters illustrating the end of his political career but today Nana Addo is the president.”
Mr. Henry Nana Boakye therefore used the opportunity and appealed to the Constituents to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December 7 general elections.
