The President of PIWAK Group of Companies, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, in collaboration with the Mortoti, Agoogyi, Logodzovor and Nusetor families, has donated GH¢10,000 to the Church of Pentecost, Torzikpota Local Assembly, as seed funding towards the construction of a permanent church building in memory of the late Elder Emmanuel Akakpo Mortoti (Rtd.), who was laid to rest at Dalive-Nusetorkofe on 31st October, 2026.
The donation is intended to support the commencement of the building project and honour the late Elder’s dedication, commitment and contributions to the growth and development of the Church of Pentecost during his lifetime.
Presenting the donation at the thanksgiving service of the Late Elder Emmanuel Akakpo Mortoti held at Dalive-Nusetorkofe on 1st November, 2026, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, who represented the families and PIWAK Group of Companies, explained that the gesture was aimed at preserving the legacy of their late father and Uncle and ensuring that his contributions to the Church were duly recognized.
He described the late Elder as a man who approached every responsibility with wholehearted dedication and was passionate about seeing good things accomplished.
Dr Mortoti disclosed that he had learnt that the Torzikpota Local Assembly of the Church of Pentecost had been holding its fellowship and church activities in a classroom. This, he explained, further inspired the families to contribute towards providing the congregation with a permanent place of worship.
According to him, the GH¢10,000 contribution was intended to serve as seed funding for the commencement of the construction project.
“We, the Mortoti, Agoogyi, Logodzovor and Nusetor families, together with the PIWAK Group of Companies, are making this contribution in memory of our father. We want to acknowledge his support and preserve the memory of his service so that it will be on record that he not only served the Church but also contributed to its growth and development,” he said.
He further noted that if the late Elder Emmanuel Akakpo Mortoti were alive, he would have done even more to support the Church, adding that the family was committed to continuing his legacy through meaningful contributions to causes he valued.
The donation was formally presented to the Presiding Elder of the area on behalf of the Church.
The leadership of the Church of Pentecost, Torzikpota Local Assembly, expressed appreciation to Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, the PIWAK Group of Companies, and the families for the generous contribution towards the proposed building project.
The gesture represents a lasting tribute to the late Elder Emmanuel Akakpo Mortoti, whose dedication to the Church continues to inspire his family to support its growth and development.
Through the contribution, the family hopes to ensure that his legacy of service lives on, not only in cherished memories but also through tangible support for the Church and the wider community.
