Pokuase Interchange: l commissioned the first of its kind in Ghana and West Africa – Nana Addo

His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo brags with the construction of Pokuase Interchange in Ghana.

The President, at a ceremony to commission Pokuase Interchange said, the project is the first of its kind in Ghana, the first of its kind in West Africa, and the second of its kind in Africa.

According to Nana Addo, the Pokuase Interchange will help solve, once and for all, the nightmare endured for several decades by commuters within and outside of this vicinity.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said, It is important to put on record that the original contract design was for a three-tier interchange. However, through efficient management of his government, the Interchange was modified to a four-tier structure within the same contract sum.

On Friday, 9th July 2021, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Four Tier Pokuase Interchange.

The President on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, used the occasion to express his sincere appreciation to the African Development Bank, who jointly provided funds with Government for the execution of this project.

He has also appeal to the users of the facility, especially drivers, to adhere to the various road safety measures put in place for the safe use of the facility.

According to him, the modernisation of Ghana is steadily gathering momentum, and he entreat all Ghanaians to join hands in building the Ghana we want.
