Popular Education Institute to conduct Survey in schools from 9 Districts in Volta Region

Management of the Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has granted permission to Popular Education Institute to conduct a Survey in Selected Basic Schools in the Volta Region.

According to the Volta Regional Directorate of Education, the survey will be conducted across nine (9) out of the eighteen (18) Districts/Municipals Education Directorates in the region.

In a letter signed by the Volta Regional Director of Education Enyonam Afi Amafuga (Ms) said, the purpose of the survey is to assess the impact of Covid-19 on Pupils, Teachers and Parents to
enable the Organisation formulate interventions to support the Stakeholders.

The Directorate said, the survey will be conducted in the following Municipalities/Districts:

1. Kpando

2. Ho

3. South Tongu

4. South Dayi

5. Ketu North

6. Afadzato South

7. Ho West

8. Adaklu

9. Akatsi South

The Directorate also directed that Covid-19 safety protocols should be observed during the interview process.

It is expected that Organisers of the programme will collaborate with Beneficiary Municipal/District
Directors to ensure that the programme is implemented within the approved guidelines of the Ghana Education Service.

The Volta Regional Directorate also directed the Popular Education
Institute to submit a copy of the research findings to the Regional Director at the end of the Implementation period.
