President Akufo-Addo announces date for the reopening of boarders

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has hinted that, government will soon open all boarders to allow Ghanaians stranded abroad to return home.
The president in his 15th address on measure taken to combat the spread of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic in Ghana on Sunday, 16th August, 2020 said, “under his instruction, the Ministry of Aviation, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and the Ghana Airports Co. Ltd., have been working, with the Ministry of Health and its agencies, to ascertain our readiness to reopen our airport.”

President Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed that, the international airport, Kotoka International Airport among all other boarders will be opened by 1st September, 2020 to allow travels in and out of Ghana.
“I want to ensure that we are in a position to test every single passenger that arrives in the country to avoid the spread of the virus. The outcome of that exercise will show us the way, and determine when we can reopen our border by air. I am hoping that, by God’s grace, we will be ready to do so by 1st September.” He explained.
