Qualification for Assistant Tutor Position in Colleges of Education

There are different categories of teachers in the Colleges of Education. One of the such category is Assistant Tutor.
The assistant tutor position is a temporary one designed for prospective tutors ( Those aspiring to undergo mentorship to become tutors).
An assistant tutor must hold a relevant first degree with at least a second class upper grade.
Such a candidate will be appointed for a period of three (3) years and be placed at the level of principal administrative assistant, renewable for a further period of two (2) years only.
The appointment of the assistant tutor may be terminated unless the candidate qualifies for appointment as tutor within the above-mentioned period.
