Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was the late husband of Queen Elizabeth II. He was the partner and consort of the British monarch, Elizabeth II right from her accession as queen on 6 February 1952.
He passed on peacefully in April 2021 at the Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom and made history as the longest-serving royal consort in the British Monarch.
Prince Philip was born in Greece on 10th June, 1921. His parents were Princess Alice of Battenberg and Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark.
