Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was the late husband of Queen Elizabeth II. He was the partner and consort of the British monarch, Elizabeth II right from her accession as queen on 6 February 1952.

He passed on peacefully in April 2021 at the Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom and made history as the longest-serving royal consort in the British Monarch.

Prince Philip was born in Greece on 10th June, 1921. His parents were Princess Alice of Battenberg and Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark.

In all, Prince Philip was married to the Queen for 74 years and died at the age of 100. He had 4 children together with the Queen Elizabeth II. 1 female and 3 males. Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

Prince Philip lived a full life and was the Queen’s best friend all her life. The entire United Kingdom mourned his death in April 2021 and people across the world sent their condolences to the Queen. Their marriage was an inspiration to many couples and lovers in the United Kingdom and the world.

Prince Philip served in the British army, Navy and in the Royal Air Force. He met the Queen whiles he fighting in the World War II. They announced their engagement in 1947 with blessings from both families and got married the same year.
