Rapper Ayigbe Edem in court for allegedly knocking and killing unknown woman

Rapper Ayigbe Edem was brought before the Kaneshie District Court this morning following an alleged incident on the George Walker Bush Highway. Last Saturday at around 2 a.m., Edem, who was driving a Honda Touring vehicle with the registration number GX 3011-19, reportedly collided with a woman.
Tragically, the woman, who remains unidentified, did not survive. She was 40 years old.
According to court documents, the victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the Police Hospital for urgent medical treatment. However, upon arrival, the attending medical doctor pronounced her dead.
During the court hearing presided over by Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, Edem faced charges of careless and inconsiderate driving, as well as negligently causing harm. Edem did not enter a plea at this time.
However, the court granted him bail in the amount of GH¢50,000, with two sureties required. Edem is expected to make a subsequent court appearance on February 15, 2024.
The musician had been a guest on a television program at Abeka Junction. The program commenced on Saturday night and continued until the early hours of Sunday morning.
