Republic of Korea opens second Korea-Ghana Information Access Centre (IAC) at UHAS
In order to bridge the digital divide and enhance global ICT accessibility, the Republic of Korea has officially opened the second Korea-Ghana Information Access Centre (IAC) at the University of Health and Allied Sciences.
This followed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of an Information Access Centre and ICT cooperation between the Ministry of Communication, the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of Korea, and the @Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.
The IAC is a multifunctional facility consisting of a lounge, training room, a video conferencing room, a multimedia room for video content production.
The facility also has a 4k camera and assistive devices for both visually and hearing-impaired individuals.
Honorable Ursula Owusu, Minister of Communications and Digitalization commissioned the Centre.
