Richard Charles Wald was an American television executive. He was the head of NBC News for four years and he served as the President or leader of the news outlet from 1973 to 1977.

Richard was born on March 19th, 1930 in New York City in the United States. He had his formal education in the following educational institutions;

The Columbia College and the Clare College, Cambridge. Where he had journalism as his profession and from 1978 to 1999, he also was an employee at ABC News where he retired from active journalism and later became a teacher at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
