Robert Kyoung Hur is an American lawyer who was selected by Donald Trump to serve as United States Attorney for the District of Maryland from 2018 to 2021. He previously held the position of Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice. Hur handled the 2023–2024 inquiry into President Joe Biden’s suspected mishandling of sensitive materials when he served as vice president.

Hur attended Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors. Hur pursued graduate studies in philosophy at King’s College, Cambridge University, from 1995 to 1996, and worked for Boston Consulting Group between 1996 and 1998. He subsequently attended Stanford Law School, where he served as executive editor of the Stanford Law Review and won the Kirkwood Moot Court Competition. In 2001, he received his Juris Doctorate and became a member of the Order of Coif.
