Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton hasn’t congratulated me yet – Kuami Eugene laments
Just some days ago, Ghana and the world witnessed the biggest awards scheme in Ghana, which is the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards normally called “VGMA”.
Though many tipped Kofi kinaata or Sarkodie to win the ultimate award which is the artiste of the year, it didn’t turn out so, as Kuami Eugene won it and this started causing a lot of controversies as many question the credibility of the award scheme.
In an interview with MzGee via Zoom on TV3 New Day this morning, the youngest Artiste of the Year expressed how disappointed he is, as Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton hasn’t congratulated him for emerging the winner in the category.
Though, it’s not compulsory for any contender to wish the fellow contender for winning over him or her, but that shows how united and matured you are if you congratulate your fellow contender for winning.
The ‘Open gate’ hitmaker acknowledged Kofi Kinaata, Medikal and other contenders as he revealed that they called him to congratulate him.
He made it known that he had worked hard, and also rebuked those saying he doesn’t deserve the ultimate award as he claimed he released two songs which were all over Africa. He added, he organized Rockstar concert, Salafest in Fadama and many more.
The Rockstar further added that he isn’t moved by the remarks people are giving about him not deserving the award, as he believes everyone has his or her opinions. He promised to give more hits as he said he is focused on doing music and not to please anyone.
