The Minority Members of Parliament led by its spokesperson Hon. Haruna Iddrisu have defiled the Ghana Police Service orders on their way to the Headquarters of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
The Ghana Police Service prevented
the Minority Members of Parliament using blockades on their way while marching towards the Headquarters of the Electoral Commission to present their petition to Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Commission.

The scuffle breaks out between Minority MPs marching to present a petition to the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the police as they defy blockade.
Speaking in an interview with the media, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu noted that, they stood at the premises of the Electoral Commission at the North Ridge but nobody attended to them.

According to him, it unlawful for the Ghana Police Service to prevent them on a peaceful march to present a petition to the Commission.
The Minority Members noted that, they are well prepared to lay down their lives for democracy in Ghana.

Unfortunately, they waited for hours but no officials from the Electoral Commission comes for the petition. Hon. Haruna Iddrisu therefore read out a section of the petition to the Media and dispersed his colleagues MPs back to the Parliament House.
