South Dayi MP has wasted our time – Felix Lartey

Mr. Dafeamekpor Etse Rockson Nelson and Mr. Felix Lartey
Mr. Felix Lartey, the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary Candidate for South Dayi Constituency says, the current Member of Parliament for South Dayi Mr. Dafeamekpor Etse Rockson Nelson and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have wasted many years of the constituency’s time when coverghana.com.gh visited the constituency on farmers day celebration where the MP was absent with no excuse.
According to Mr. Felix Lartey, the incumbent Member of Parliament Mr. Dafeamekpor Etse Rockson Nelson is nothing but a complete failure who is taking the people of South Dayi for granted with a lot of failed promises. “You only see the MP on TV defending his political party and not his constituency. He simply lacks the ability to lobby for projects for the constituency with the excuse that his party is in opposition”.
Some constituents in Tongor who spoke with coverghana.com.gh are disappointed in the current MP for failing the constituency. ” We know that MPs are to make laws and we also know that he’s supposed to update us on laws made but he doesn’t even brief us on parliamentary proceedings which is so disappointing”. A constituent who only identified himself as Joe said told Coverghana.com.gh
Another constituent Samuel from Toh Kpalime led a team from Coverghana.com.gh to a dirty dugout which the community depends on. He said Mr. Defeamekpor Etse Rockson Nelson is only seen on TV sets every morning talking about NDC. “On weekends, he comes to the constituency to attend numerous funerals and then leave on Monday morning to continue his TV work. We feel we have no representation in parliament because we’re not feeling his vibes as an MP”. He explained.
Speaking to our news team, Mr. Felix Lartey promised to be the best lobbyist the constituency will ever experience . “I will not wait for my party to come into power in order to bring development to my people. I will not be given a diplomatic passport to go on holiday and come back . President’s work with MMDCEs for development so I don’t understand why Defeamekpor wants his party in power before he lobby projects to his constituency. It is good to have your party in power as an MP but has nothing to do with lobbying.” The PPP Parliamentary Candidate for South Dayi explained.
