South Tongu DCE commissions kindergarten classroom block; Says NPP did more than enough and needs 4More

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of South Tongu District, Hon. Emmanuel Louis Agama has stated that H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and he (DCE) have work so much within 4years in office and needed four (4) more years to do more for Ghanaians.

In Commissioning of 1NO. 3 -Unit Kindergarten Classroom Block at Kpotame in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region monitored by Coverghana.com.gh Volta Regional Correspondence, Tabitha Kugbonu, the DCE indicated that all the abandoned projects left behind by the previous government, after he resumed office as the DCE have been completed by him in the area and also established new projects that are in use with the help of his boss President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government so they deserve extra 4years to continue with the good work.

“On December 7th, 2020, Ghanaians will be given the mandate per the 1992 Constitution to elect their President and Parliamentarians. This year, 12 political parties are contesting for the presidential seat including the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the ruling government who have been showcasing most of their achievements to Ghanaians to make them to vote for them again and among those achievements is the Free SHS Policy.” He told.

Hon. Agama added that no political party can match the tremendous works President Nana Addo and NPP have done within these 4years even though COVID-19 pandemic has come to slow down a lot of things, they were able to meet most of their targets.

Kpotame Presby Basic School was established in 1943 with the current enrollment of 736 students of which 342 are boys while 394 are girls with 25 available teachers have been facing infrastructure challenges over the years due to the increasing number of students and pupils.

According to the DCE, the new classroom block was funded by the South Tongu District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) with an amount of Gh¢ 223,011.00 and the project which was awarded to RAYKUM CONSTRUCTION LTD, Adenta was completed within six months.

The scope of works consists of; 1no. 3-Unit Classrooms, 150mm thick substructure block work up to 150mm thick over site floor concrete, 32mm thick cement and sand mortar (1:3) floor screed, carpentry works (Roofing members such as; Rafters, Purling, Ceiling Noggins, Pre-Coated Roofing sheets, Plywood Ceiling in Classrooms, Plastic T&G Ceiling at Eaves and Verandah, 3No. Mica writing Boards, Plastic Louvre carrier and Louvre glasses, Apron around the perimeter of the building, Rain harvesting System (2No.) with Poly-tank stand, Electrical Installation (Lights and Ceiling Fans) and Painting works.
