Takoradi woman who faked her Kidnapping jailed for 6 years
A woman who faked her kidnapping in the Western Region of Ghana has been sentenced to six (6) years in prison.
The 29years old lady Joana Krah was declared kidnapped in the capital city of the western region, Takoradi after her family reported to the Police that she went out for a morning walk and never returned
However, she missing pregnant lady was later found without any sign of pregnancy and investigations revealed that she faked a pregnancy and also faked her own kidnapping in order to extort an amount of GH¢5,000 from her step-father.
Joana Krah was arrested and on Monday, October 25, 2021, she was put before the Takoradi Habour Circuit Court A, presided over by his honour Michael Kwodjoe Ampoadu where she pleaded guilty to the charge.
She was found guilty of causing fear and deceiving a public officer and she was sentenced to six (6) years in prison.
