Tariq Lamptey switches Nationality to play for Ghana

England born, Ghanaian defender, Tariq Lamptey has finalized all proceedings with FIFA and is now recognized as a Ghanaian professional football player.

The arrangements to get Tariq to play for Ghana which started sometime ago has been completed and he has expressed his appreciation to the parties who helped with the process. He also showed his excitement towards this new development.

Tariq Lamptey said “I’m happy that everything is completed with FIFA and I’m able to play for Ghana. I thank God for giving me this opportunity, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.

I’d like to take a moment to thank England and everyone involved in my journey so far. I’ve had some unbelievable memories and I’m grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way from the coaches to the staff to individual players and the fans.”

Tariq is hoping to have an exceptional and fulfilling journey with the Ghana National team.
