Hospitals are health care facilities that should provide comfortable environments for the well-being of patients who visit for treatments. However, this is not the case for some towns in Ghana as they go through a lot of unpleasant challenges at their health facilities.
One such place in the northern part of the country is Kassena-Nankana West District in the Upper East Region. The appalling state of the health facility in the area is saddening and gives a lot of people reason to think lives are in danger.
In a news publication from TV3 by Senyalah Castro Cazo, the unpleasant state of the the delivery room of the Kanania CHPS compound in the Kassena-Nankana West District in the Upper East Region showed up and citizens are still in shock.
The room which looks like a death trap has only a long wooden bench and one structured bed for delivery. There is no proper ceiling and no door to this delivery room.
This is a major issue of concern and calls for immediate response from the government to aid the people in the community.
