Team Badwenba from UCC: Winners of 2023 Stastbank Hackathon
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has emerged as the winner in the 2023 Stastbank Hackathon competition.
The participants of the 2023 Stastbank Hackathon competition are the University of Cape Coast (UCC), the University of Ghana (UG), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the University for Development Studies (UDS), and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).
In a thrilling display of knowledge and skill, Team Badwenba from UCC developed a website using data from The Statsbank and other data sources for policymakers to easily identify districts with insufficient health and education facilities and highlight the most pressing infrastructure needs.
The team Badwenba, did marvelous work for putting up a spirited performance to secure a crucial victory which has become the talking point in Ghana.
The knowledge and skills displayed by the UCC team have earned the university a spot described as “Ghana’s and West Africa’s number one University” once again.
Kudos to team Badwenba. They have exhibited marvelous work that has hoisted the flag of UCC and Ghana high in terms of knowledge, skills, and exhibition of lessons in a more practical way for others to emulate.
