UEW cuts down initial percentage for “pay for course registration fees”

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has cut down (reduced) the percentage of school fees required to be paid before course registration.

In an official release dated February 25, 2025, from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) SRC Secretariat, an update on the cut down of school fees payment was made for the student body.

This update was released under the signatures of Lilian Adzo Tofa, UEW SRC General Secretary and Sakpaku Sylvanus, AG. PRO.

Despite this new development for students, it is clear that the change (the reduction) does not mean a reduction in the total fees but rather a reduction in the initial payment required for course registration.

Previously, students had to pay at least 50% of their fees before registering for courses, but now they only need to pay 40% upfront. This move is meant to ease financial pressure, allowing students more time to complete their full payments while still being able to register for their courses. It does not reduce the overall amount students have to pay.

We are pleased to inform you that the management of the University of Education has reduced the percentage of school fees required to be paid before course registration from the initial percentage to 40%. This change aims to support students in managing their financial obligations.

In light of this development, the SRC encourages all students to make timely payments before the commencement of mid-semester. Prompt payment will ensure seamless course registration and avoid any last-minute complications.
