The University of Ghana School of Law has emerged victorious in JESSUP International Moot Court Competition for Second Year in a Row.
The University of Ghana School of Law (UGSoL) has once again showcased it’s legal expertise by winning the National Rounds of the JESSUP International Moot Court Competition for the second consecutive year. UGSoL triumphed over Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the final held on Saturday.

Represented by Kabu Nartey, a final-year student, and Emmanuel Akpabli, a third-year student, UGSoL had earlier defeated Lancaster University and the University of Cape Coast in the preliminary rounds.
The team’s exceptional performance secured them a place in the upcoming international rounds of the tournament, where they will represent Ghana at the 2023 Championship in Washington DC, USA in April.
Kabu Nartey was also recognized as the best oralist of the competition, adding to the team’s success. Nartey, a former Student Journalist of the Year awardee of the Ghana Journalists Association, demonstrated his legal prowess and contributed significantly to UGSoL’s victory.
UGSoL’s achievement in the JESSUP International Moot Court Competition for two consecutive years is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students, faculty, and staff at the school. It reaffirms UGSoL’s commitment to providing quality legal education and producing exceptional legal professionals.
