UHAS Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lydia Aziato is honored as an Eminent Fellow

Prof. Lydia Aziato, Vice Chancellor, has once again been presented with an award from The African Women’s Leadership Academy as an Eminent Fellow.

The event was organized by the Africa Women’s Leadership Academy (TAWLA) under the auspices of Accra Business School and held on November 16, 2023, in Accra under the theme “Empowering Women, Strengthening Economies.”

According to the Founder of Accra Business School, Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei, the award event is a landmark occasion to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of women across various sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

Part of the citation reads: “A trailblazer in healthcare and academia, she has exhibited remarkable leadership, earning acclaim as a luminary in nursing research”.

Other award winners were Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, a politician, business executive, and minister, and Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), among other prominent women.
