University of Ghana postpones 2024/2025 Academic Year commencement date

Management of the University of Ghana, Legon (UG) has announced to the students and other stakeholders that the commencement of the 2024/2025 academic year has been postponed.
The decision was announced by the University’s Registrar on September 25, 2024.
Per the official announcement made by the university, the postponement of the re-opening date was influenced by the ongoing strike action by various employee groupings.

Adding, the notice has it that “Special programmes will, however, proceed as scheduled.”
The management also added that they will work around the clock for new reopening date for students in at the right and time.
“A new date for the commencement of the 2024/2025 academic year will be announced in due course.”
