The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has explained his statement “any idiot can go to Court”
Speaking with Emefa Apawu on The Probe to discuss NDC’s rejection of 2020 election results on the JoyNews channel, Johnson Asiedu Nketia explained that, the statement he made after the December 2012 general elections that “any idiot can go to Court” did not mean that, everyone who goes to court is an idiot.

According to him, his statement came prior to misinterpretation by some individuals in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after losing the December 2012 Presidential elections to President John Dramani Mahama.

Addressing the issues further, Johnson Asiedu Nketia added that, most people who misinterpreted his comment lack logical reasoning. He noted that, everyone can go to Court but that does not means, anyone who goes to court is a reasonable person.

“There are some people who knew very well that, they have no case but still want to go to court just to check the legal system. Such individuals may be described as idiot.” He said.
