Horrible meals prepared for pupils of Likpe-Mate Primary School under feeding programme
Coverghana.com.gh has intercepted a sad and heart weakening video is circulating about the poor and horrible meals prepared under the government’s feeding programme initiative in one of the schools.
According to reliable sources, the undelicious and poor meal was prepared for students/learners of Likpe-Mate Primary School in the newly created Guan District of Oti Region.
It came to our attention that, the matron and her team in charge of the feeding prepared rice and stew to be served on Thursday, 31st March, 2022. The stew, which was described as “coloured water” with no fish and ingredients has been intercepted in wide circulation on social media.

It’s still unclear why such a meal will prepared and served students under government’s popular feeding programme initiative.
We have also picked, this has been going at the Likpe-Mate Primary School and others for sometimes now, but, no one is able to voice it due to the fear of intimidation and sanctions.
Government pays first term school feeding grant to caterers
It has been alleged that, some Basic Schools covered under the government’s feeding programme decide to extort the funds allocated to the programme and preparing low quality of meals for the pupils.
The Pantry and Heads in charge of the school feeding chose quantity over quality at the detriment of the pupils’ health. A lot of viral videos have filled the internet months ago but, the most current one is a talkable heat that have been generated from a particular school in Oti Region.
The government’s feeding programme initiative was brought to light with the aim of supporting the Primary Schools across the country and also to lessen the expenditure of parents on their wards.
Over the years, the initiative had a welcoming comments from the school administrations, community and parents inclusively, there are some but nuts that need to be uprooted.
