Earlier, the President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed Ghanaians to ask former president John Dramani Mahama to tell them what exactly he did at the Presidency for eight (8) years in government.

In the recent time, the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated the president’s directive by asking former President John Dramani Mahama to tell Ghanaian youth what he did for them in the eight (8) years he was in government as Vice President and President respectively.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who was addressing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Wing on Wednesday, 12th August, 2020 in commemoration of the International Youth Day in Accra said, he sometimes wonder whether former President John Mahama has indeed been in office before, due to the manner in which Mahama carries himself as a new quantity, as well as his failure to speak on his own record in government.

The Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama served as the Vice President under the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills between 2008 and 2012. He was later elected as the president of the Republic in 2012 following the death of prof. Atta Mills.

He again served as President from 2012 to 2016 where he lost regrettably to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with a wide margin in the 2016 presidential elections.

His comeback as a president on the ticket of the opposition NDC is a worry to the governing New Patriotic Party since they believe he has failed during his 8 years at the presidency.
