The leader of the mutineers/soilders who arrested the Guinea’s President Professor Alpha Condé breaks silence after a successful coup d’etat in Guinea Conakry on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
In a statement, Mamadi Doumbouya said, he is forming CNRD which will steer the country through a Transition.
According to him, he has dissolved the Parliament and Government and he is ordering the suspension of the Constitution and ordered the closure of the land, border and air space.

His motive for the takeover is because of Rampant corruption, mismanagement and the hardship seen in the country.
“Following communiqué number 1, the dissolution of the constitution and the national assembly remains maintained. The regional governors are replaced by the zone commanders. The prefects and sub-prefects also by the commanders of units of the largest locality. The outgoing ministers and the former presidents of the institutions are invited to a meeting tomorrow (Monday 06 September) at 11 am at the people’s palace. Any refusal to stand will be considered a rebellion against the CNRD.

The CNRD calls on officials to return to work on Monday. All arrangements will be made to ensure the safety of peaceful citizens as well as their property. All units in the interior are requested to keep calm. And to avoid movements towards Conakry. The road police and gendarmerie detachments must ensure compliance with these measures. In addition, the curfew introduced from 8 p.m. throughout the national territory until further notice.
