The President of Akyode Traditional Area and Member of the National House of Chiefs, Nana Obombo Sewura Lupuwura II has urged the people of his traditional area to vote massively in the December 2020 polls to thank President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the creation of the Oti Region and also to continue with the developmental projects in the country.
He was speaking when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Nkwanta South Constituency, Sherifa Tijani Sekyere met the chiefs and people in Gekorong on peace and unity talks in the Constituency ahead of 2020 Election.

Speaking on peace and Unity ahead of the 2020 General Elections in Gekorong of the Nkwanta South Constituency of the Oti Region, the president of the Akyode Traditional area urged the people in the area to look at peace and unity that president Nana Akufo-Addo has created among the people in Akyode Traditional area by giving them traditional council and also creation of the Oti Region.
He said, voting for the NPP is to thank the President and the Parliamentary candidate of the Nkwanta South.
The Oti Regional women’s Organizer Olivia Aglago also entreated the communities to vote for a female candidate to bring good things on Board.
The assistant Administrator of GETfund, Joe Denteh speaking at the event said, NDC has been in power for Almost 28 years but nothing good has come from their party.
He therefore urged the people to give Nana Addo and Sherifa Tijani sekyere another four years to do more.
Open participation of chiefs in partisan politics worrying – Prof. Gyampo
The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nkwanta South Constituency pleaded with the people to give her and Nana Addo 75% of their votes. She also outline some developmental projects she is doing and will be doing when she win power.
The NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE and Assistant Administrator of GETfund also use the Ocassion to present foodballs and jerseys to the town teams. They also distributed nose masks to all participants to aid in the prevention of Covid-19 pandemic.
