Volta Regional Minister pledges to work with Volta Council of State to drive sustainable development in the Region

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has pledged to work with the Volta Regional Council of State to drive sustainable development in the Region.
Hon. Gunu congratulated Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple on his election to the Council of State with mind-filling words of assurance.
“His decisive victory, securing 24 out of 36 votes, marks a significant step toward youth-driven leadership and progressive governance. Tanko brings a business-focused approach, prioritizing investment, infrastructure, job creation, and economic empowerment,” Hon. James Gunu praises.
“This win restores Weta’s legacy in national decision-making, following in the footsteps of the late Prof. Kofi Nyidevu Awoonor (2009–2013).”
The Volta Regional Minister again stated that he was present at the election center and remained until the results were declared, reaffirming his commitment to a fair, transparent, and democratic process.
“Tanko’s election is a sign of renewed energy in governance, focusing on regional investment, SME growth, youth employment, and agricultural innovation,” he stressed.
“I look forward to working with him to drive sustainable development in the Volta Region. Congratulations once again on this well-deserved victory!,” Hon. Gunu’s pledge.
