Wake up; Bawumia’s paperless ports agenda is draining the public purse – Franklin Cudjoe

The Founding President of the Think Tank IMANI Africa Mr. Franklin Cudjoe is calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to wake up on happenings at the Ghana port and must not be misled by the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s enhanced paperless port agenda in the midst of challenges.

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe who is noted for his open criticisms on national policies has ones again jabbed President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government on retrogressive UNIPASS deal at the port which causes the state to lose nearly Gh¢ 200m per month.

Though, the IMANI Africa founding President asked Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be more vigilante on his governance, he has therefore made a shocking statement commending him on some positive and refreshing achievements under his leadership.

In a statement, Franklin Cidjoe said, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made some impressive foreign and trade policy wins. Commending the President on his achievements, he noted that, the AfCFTA secretariat in Accra holds the key to Africa’s last hope for total economic integration.

He again added that, President Akufo-Addo who was elected the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chair at the 57th Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, which is being held in Niamey, capital of the Republic of Niger faces a difficult time of leadership coupled with an increased terrorism and the novel coronavirus pandemic.
