Week Endings for First Term of 2023/2024 Academic Year for Basic Schools
The week endings for first term of the 2023/2024 academic year for Basic Schools (KG – JHS) has been released.
Earlier, Ghana Education Service (GES) announced 3rd October, 2023 as the reopening date for Public Basic Schools across the country.
The first term of the 2023/2024 academic year has a total of twelve weeks starting with first week which ends on 6th October, 2023.
The term has a public holiday named Farmer’s Day on Friday, 1st December, 2023.
Per schedule, revision is scheduled to begin from the 10th week of the academic calendar, 11th week has been named for commencement of examination and vacation is to take place on the 12th week.

First Term Vacation Date of the 2023/2024 Academic Year
The 2023/2024 academic calendar suggests that, first term will end on Friday, 21st December, 2023.
Second Term Reopening Date for the 2023/2024 Academic Year
Second term reopening date for the 2023/2024 academic year is proposed to be 9th January, 2024.
