The leadership of Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General of Ghana Education Service (GES) has moved GES onto the digital map of Ghana (streamline and digitize the management of teacher records, school data, and other administrative tasks) to lessen the stress that comes with the management of the Service. The initiative is also geared to make more productive work within a short timeframe.

The GES-MIS is part of the Service’s ongoing efforts to modernize the education sector and ensure that teacher and school management processes are up-to-date and accessible across the country.

The Ghana Education Service – Management Information System (GES-MIS) is an online platform designed by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to streamline and digitize the management of teacher records, school data, and other administrative tasks.

The initiative also serves as a centralized hub for teachers, school administrators, and GES officials to interact with various services, including teacher registration, promotions, and other educational functions.

Key Features and Functions of GES-MIS

1. Teacher Registration and Licensing

Teachers can use the GES-MIS platform to register for their professional licenses and obtain their Teacher Registration Numbers (TRN). This is a critical step towards ensuring that all teachers meet the standards set by the National Teaching Council (NTC).

2. Promotion Application

Teachers can apply for promotions, such as those for Assistant Director II or other ranks, through the platform. The system enables teachers to submit the necessary documents and track the progress of their promotion applications.

3. Personnel and Payroll Information

GES employees can access and update their personal details, payroll information, and other employment-related data. This reduces the need for manual submissions and interactions with GES offices for changes or updates.

4. School Data Management

How to access GES-MIS

Needed credentials 

To use the GES-MIS, teachers and other staff must log in to the official website (typically through a URL provided by GES) using their credentials, such as their Staff ID and password. Once logged in, they can access the various services offered by the system.

How to access/log onto the GES-MIS platform

To access the newly introduced Ghana Education Service Management Information System (GES-MIS) platform, you will be asked to provide some two (2) key details.

• Kindly visit the official GES-MIS platform Here 
• When the portal/platform opens, key in your username.
• Move down and key in your password.
• Finally, click the login button. You will be redirected to the dashboard of the GES information System when you will continue.
