13th Atlantic Hall House of Parliament, UCC Inaugurated

On Sunday, 16th February 2025, the 12th Atlantic Hall House of Parliament (ATLHOP) was officially dissolved, making way for the inauguration of the 13th Parliament. The dissolution and inauguration ceremony marked a significant transition in the governance of Atlantic Hall at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Following the dissolution, Rt. Hon. Agboni Nicholas Kelvin, popularly known as CoverGhana, was officially elected as the Speaker of the 13th ATLHOP. He has since assumed office, taking on the mantle to lead the House with a commitment to serving in the best interest of all members and students of the hall.

In his inaugural address, Rt. Hon. Agboni Nicholas Kelvin expressed his deep gratitude to key stakeholders who played vital roles in ensuring the smooth transition.
He extended appreciation to the Protocol-led Junior Common Room Committee (JCRC), Speakers of sister halls, the Speaker of the 22nd UCC SRC Parliament, and the immediate past leadership of ATLHOP.
Notably, he acknowledged the contributions of his predecessors, Rt. Hon. Meshack Foli Yao and Rt. Hon. Tsumasi, for their dedicated service and for gracing the dissolution and inaugural ceremony.
Additionally, the newly elected Speaker extended a special appreciation to the management of Atlantic Hall, led by Prof. Francis Kwaw Andoh (Hall Master), ATLHOP Patron Dr. Magdalene Brown, and several individuals and groups, including Avogadro, Rt. Hon. Tsumasi, Protocol, Sunshot, the ATL JCRC, Mariners, Wing leaders, and his immediate leadership team. Their unwavering support and contributions have been instrumental in the successful inauguration of the 13th ATLHOP.
As the new leadership takes office, Rt. Hon. Agboni Nicholas Kelvin reaffirmed his dedication to steering the affairs of the House with integrity, inclusivity, and a vision to advance the interests of students and Atlantic Hall at large.
“Together, we move ATL and UCC forward,” he emphasized in his concluding remarks.
The transition of leadership in ATLHOP marks a new chapter for Atlantic Hall, with renewed hope for continued progress and student-centered governance.
