A Ho Central Constituency executive member of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region, Oscar Komla Bedzra has criticize president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government over the 2023 Budget Statement and Fiscal Policy read on the floor of Parliament by the Finance Minister, Hon Ken Ofori-Atta.

In an interview with Kuul FM in the Volta Regional Capital on Friday November 25th, the outspoken Oscar Bedzra explained that “most graduates from various tertiary institutions across the country were in high hopes of quota from government concerning public sector employment but government failed to address this key expectation which makes the budget much more hopeless and empty”.

He further explained that, this situation will increase Ghana’s unemployment rate until 2025.

“The teaming graduates most of whom are youthful should be hopeful of employment opportunities in the next NDC government since president Akufo Addo and his finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta have nothing to offer the Ghanaian youth” He explained.

The 2023 budget statement and Economic Policy has laid embargo on public sector employment untill further notice.
