GES opens applications for 2023 Promotions to the Grade of DD, AD1, AD II, PS

Ghana Education Service (GES) is inviting applications from suitably qualified serving Officers/Teachers for consideration for promotion to the following grades.

1. Deputy Director

2. Assistant Director I

3. Assistant Director II and

4. Principal Superintendent.

QUALIFICATION

1. Deputy Director: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director I on or before 2019 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).
2. Assistant Director I: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director II on or before 2019 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).
3. Assistant Director II: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal Superintendent on or before 2019 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).
4. Principal Superintendent: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent I on or before 2019 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).

Officers/Teachers with Master’s Degree and Ph.D.

For the avoidance of doubt, applicants who wish to rely on Masters/ Doctorate degrees to join the interviews out of turn should note the following:

1. Masters /Ph.D. programme should be on the approved GES course of study.
2. The Masters/PHD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.
3. Applicants who wish to use the Masters/PHD certificates for ADI, ADII, and Deputy Director Promotion should have obtained their certificate on or before 2021.

MODE OF APPLICATION

All applicants must log on to (www.gespromotions.gov.gh) from Monday, 26th February 2024 to apply. Please take note of the following:

1. Complete the APPLICATION FORM and upload a passport-sized photograph.
2. Upload only your last Promotion or Upgrading or Appointment Letter.
3. Applicants using Masters/Doctorate Degree must upload their certificates.

Important notice

All documents uploaded should be in PDF format with the exception of the passport-sized photograph.

Upload clear and readable documents.

Application deadline

The deadline for the online application is 31st March 2024.
