Guinness World Records rejects Afua Asantewaa Sing-A-Thon

Guinness World Record (GWR) has rejected Afua Asantewaa’s Sing-A-Thon attempt after verifying her submitted evidence. Afua attempted the longest singing competition by an individual in December 2023 held in the heart of Accra and attended by many fans and tourists.

Today,  February 23, 2024, GWR has officially announced the outcome of their verification process.

GWR in the official release said “Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans.

The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts.
