A 25-year-old woman and her husband from Mali have given birth to nonuplets, 9 babies, in a Moroccan Hospital breaking the global record for highest number of children ever had at birth and still survived.
The mother of the nonuplets, Halima Cissé, a 25-year-old woman, had two or more doctors scan her during her pregnancy to confirm whether she was carrying 9 children in her womb as it was hard to believe.
After detecting and confirming the number, Mali’s government flew her and her husband to Morocco for specialist care and safe delivery.
In 2021, Halima had a safe delivery of all 9 babies, 5 boys and 4 girls and she was so excited after she came out of labor.
In an interview with BBC, her husband said he was very happy that all the 9 babies are healthy and doing very well.
The African woman from West African State defeated a woman who had eight babies in the US in 2009 holds the Guinness World Record for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.
