“A future NDC Government would not burn seized galamsey excavators” – Slyvester Mensah
Mr. Sylvester Mensah says future NDC Government will not burn excavators
A former President candidate aspirant for the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Slyvester Mensah has reacted to the burning of excavators in the fight against illegal mining.
The Government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo has deployed soldiers to fight against illegal mining popularly called Galamsey.
During the operation, the soldiers have been burning excavators that are working around water bodies.
Reacting to the burning of excavators by soldiers, Mr. Slyvester Mensah said that a future National Democratic Congress Government will not burn excavators in the fight against illegal mining.

According to him, burning excavators is lazy and reckless approach in the fight against illegal mining activities around water.
In a post, Mr. Slyvester Mensah said;
“A future NDC Government would not burn seized galamsey excavators — clearly, it is a lazy and reckless mindset. Earth moving equipment can be put to many other important uses, in many communities in this country.
Considering this nauseous Bawumia economy with its self-inflicted epileptic power supply, one would have thought that this government, having dispossessed galamsey owners of their equipment, would put them to alternative uses to develop our communities and generate value for the economy.
We are witnessing the manifestation of an insufficient thinking process. The adage “two heads are better than one” is inaccurate. Indeed, it can only be valid when we say “two good heads are better than one“
