Ablakwa to convert Safe Alternative Housing Projects to Nursing Training Institute

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament (MP) for the North Tongu constituency has announced plans to convert the recently commissioned Safe Alternative Housing Projects in Mepe and Aveyime into a Nursing Training Institute. This move aims to leverage the renowned Battor Catholic Hospital and provide valuable educational opportunities for the local population.

The Safe Alternative Housing Projects, which were recently inaugurated, have brought joy and relief to 600 individuals who have been displaced due to the Volta River Authority (VRA) spillage. Hon. Ablakwa’s commitment to their well-being goes beyond providing shelter, as he has now unveiled a plan to offer free rent and utilities for the next three years to all 600 occupants.

After the three-year period, when it is expected that all VRA spillage victims would have been permanently resettled, the North Tongu MP plans to transform the Safe Alternative Housing Projects into a Nursing Training Institute.
