Ablakwa to pay for charges of victims of sexual assault

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has indicated that, all victims of sexual assault withing the North Tongu Constituency would be attended to free of charge.

According to him, the vulnerable and traumatized victims need the collective support of every body and removing all barriers towards securing justice is the way to go.

He further indicated that, victims of sexual offences used to pay between GH¢150 and GH¢400 to have their police medical forms filled by doctors.

However, under this new dispensation, the medical facilities in the North Tongu Constituency will submit quarterly report to the District Health Directorate for prompt payment by the North Tongu MP’s office.

Ablakwa also added that, the North Tongu District Health Director and the Medical Superintendents of the Battor Catholic Hospital and the Tagadzi Polyclinic are fully on board to implement this latest MP’s initiative.
