This tweet from the journalist have got many Ghanaians talking. Below are some of the comments from tweeps on the issue.
- I bought a slightly bigger one at Dome Market 3gh yesterday…that Haatso Waakye opposite to the MTN office de3 that is how they are, their weley too is small bi 4&5 gh.
- Farm inputs have sky rocketed bro..you don’t blame them do you..a fert we bought 4 months ago for 210 is now selling at 420.
- Well having stayed there a year i can say only stuff that aren’t grown there costs much more due to their terrain. Most fruits and vegetables for that matter.
- It might surprise you to know that the farmers don’t really benefit from these price hikes as much as the traders in these farm foods. Transportation might be a factor but these fruit sellers in Accra are really extorting money from people.
