The Ghana National team has had some amazing and talented football goalkeepers over the years. One of such amazing goalkeepers is the renowned Samuel Adjei who was popularly known as Sammy Adjei.
The feats and successes of this talented goalkeeper plays an important part in the history of Ghana’s football.
Goalkeeping is one aspect of football we cannot underestimate or do away with when looking at the successes of a particular football team. Goalkeepers across the world put in their best to prevent their teams from conceding goals and by so doing ensure victory for their side.
During his time as goalkeeper, Sammy Adjei won the CAF Champions League with Hearts of Oak in 2000, the CAF Super Cup and seven 7 titles in the Ghana Premier League. He also won the Ghana FA Cup twice with his club.
Among other things, Sammy Adjei was part of the Ghana team that qualified the country to its first World Cup in 2006.
