Afua Asantewaa ends her Sing-A-Thon at 126 hours and 52 minutes

Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum has ended her Sing-A-Thon at 126 hours and 52 minutes.

Her journey to break the longest singing marathon by an individual in the Guinness World Record (GWR) has come to an end today, 29th December 2023.

Afua commenced the marathon on 24th December 2023 through to 29th December 2023 and ended with 126 hours, 52 minutes per our check from her boot.

She sang pure Ghanaian music back to back. A history that Ghanaian DJs, radio, and TV stations have not done for many years now.

From entertainment perspective, Afua’s “testimony” shows that Ghana can be great if the media focus on Ghanaian content as a way of promoting indigenous products (music, movies, shows, etc) in that way, Ghana can be on the same international radar just as other Africans are.

Afua’s journey to greatness was supported by Ghanaians including politicians, musicians, media houses, actors, actresses, dancers, influencers, and brand ambassadors, among many others.

Their support was a great spice to push Afua to the top.
Now, the decision lies in the hands of the Guinness World Record officials.

However, Ghanaians have high hopes that Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum will earn the spot she is yearning for.

Kudos to Afua. This journey cannot be embarked on by many mothers of three (3) but she has made it with love, passion, and determination in order to see Ghana as a whole on the global radar.

Afua has shone her shining light on Ghana this December making the 2023 Christmas a memorable one in Ghana.
