Akufo-Addo’s government lacks inclusiveness and acceptance of national cohesion – Asiedu Nketia
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia
The National Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia says, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government lacks inclusiveness of all Ghanaians and their acceptance for national cohesion.
Speaking at a camping launch at the Hohoe Constituency for Professor Margaret Kweku, the NDC parliamentary candidate, amidst gargantuan supporters of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah (General Mosquito) noted that, the upcoming December 2020 polls is the second Independence of minority tribes in Ghana since the current government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has failed to recognize them. He cited several examples including the Zongo communities.
He reiterated the promise of the NDC flagbearer Mr. John Dramani Mahama’s plan to complete the Eastern corridor roads when he comes to power again.

Outling the history of Ghana with regards to tribal wars in the past centuries and the coastal line, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia talked about how the Ashantis and Akyems in the past hijacked all goods and services and controlled all transactions all because they have Western corridor roads. Due to that NDC government decided to tackle Eastern Corridor roads planned by Kwame Nkrumah, And immediately NPP won power they ignored the roads .
According to him, the main agenda of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is to have Monopoly over trade and transactions in the areas their people are located so purely delaying the Eastern Corridor roads so their people will control everything with the Western corridor where their business men and women are. He said, only NDC government can construct the Eastern Corridor roads because NPP MPs fought the budget allocations for the road in Mills JM government.
He emphasized on deliberate agenda of NPP to denying NDC strongholds of that road which will improve trades, businesses and transactions.
Mr. Asiedu touched on the Western Togoland Secessionists and pointed out clearly that everything that has been happening is 100% orchestrated by NPP government and nothing will make him to retract their actions, several hatred and vindictiveness meted out on voltarians in other places especially Banda land.
Speaking further, the General Mosquito said NPP’s game plan is simple, because, they have recruited people in the bushes and went with their media camera men to create impression to the international communities that Voltarians are causing Mayhem purely to declare that elections can’t come off in some areas to rigging the Election, and NDC won’t accept that.
He alleged military personnel in uniforms have been given to NPP vigilantes to wear as if they are military men, then deploy them to intimidating people prior to and on election day.
Mr. Asiedu emphatically stated that, the guns looted from the armouries are all done by NPP vigilantes to orchestrate violence on election day so they tag it on Western Togoland Secessionists. He then placed it on records that NDC won’t tolerate anything of such, which is being spearheaded by NPP government appointees in the region for their stomach interests. “what sweets you is what is being used as baits to kill you so we shouldn’t give in to NPP conning promises.” He said.
He has therefore called on the chiefs to question the Energy Minister Honourable John Peter-Amewu on happenings in the region and ask him to prove himself not part of such intimidating activities in the region, If truly he is unaware of all that is happening, he should then help the chiefs and the people of Ghana to fight against the NPP vigilantes destroying the peace of the region.
“Muslims wear skirt and blouse but always Jalabi so they shouldn’t follow John Peter Amewu but NDC for their own interests.” He told Musilim community in the Hohoe Constitution.
Work steadily progresses on Hohoe-Jasikan stretch of Eastern corridor road
On the launching of the Parliamentary candidate Professor Margaret Kweku, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the candidature of Prof. Margaret is full of hope and credentials.
According to him, Hon John Peter Amewu can continue with his benevolence but for the seat he should forget about it since he will do everything possible for Prof Margaret to win.
