Akufo-Addo’s Government to upgrade 10 Technical Universities and 13 Technical Institutes

The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Education will upgrade 10 Technical Universities and 13 Technical Institutes by the construction of workshops and supply installation of equipment.

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will talk intensely at the launch of Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) scheduled for April 12 2022 at Kumasi Technical University, Adako Jachie Campus to announce the list of institutions to be upgraded.

Since there’s an upgrade of Polytechnics to Technical Universities, there must be an upgrade in related needs of students which will contribute largely to productivity through their learning in other to meet the international standards of expected institutions bearing the name Technical University and Technical Institutes.

The upgrade is also believed to encompass the long problems Ghana is facing in Technical and Vocational Education as a whole.

Government to launch Commission for TVET and inaugurates Ghana-China Project

Inadequate trained facilitators, facilities to aid/support students learning in other to equip the with the expertise skills needed by the job market among others.
