Amewu calls on staff of Railway Development Ministry to help gov’t achieve its vision in the sector


The Minister of Railway Development Ministry Hon. John-Peter Amewu has had his maiden meeting with all the Directors and Unit Heads at the Ministry of Railway Development.

In the meeting, the Minister has called for their unconditional support and commitment to enable President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and government to achieve its bold vision for Ghana’s railway sector.


John-Peter Amewu’s first statement as Minister for Railways Development

“In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on world economies and the investment climate worldwide, we are challenged as a ministry to discover creative and uncommon ways to drive the growth and transformation of Ghana’s railway sector.”

According to the Hohoe Constituency Member of Parliament, his humble appeal is that, as a ministry, we should endeavour to be resilient, work as a team and be sacrificial in discharging our duties.
